Ciaran Brady has an Honour’s Master’s degree in Music and vocal performance from MaynoothUniversityywhere he also Directed and Conducted the “University Chamber Choir”. Further post-graduate studies broughtthim to Germany where he trained in Advanced Vocal Technique with Prof. Markus Goritzky at the “Hochschule für Musik” in Freiburg..
Ciaran spent many years as Vocal Coach and Performance Tutor with the Music Dept. at Maynooth University. He is a full time professional Vocal Coach and Choral Director with many award winning students and choirs.
Ciaran and his wife Martina founded The Academy of Music in Tullamore in 2007 and after 15 years of developing the
Academy, they transferred its ownership to Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board, with the certitude of
solidifying the Academy’s development of music performance education in the community, and throughout
the greater midland regions, for future generations to come.
Ciaran’s Voice training started at the age of 10 as a boy treble and Head Chorister of the famous “Palestrina Choir”.
Professionally he was a member of the “RTE Chamber Choir” and founder member of “The National Chamber Choir”.
He also has extensive work as a soloist and recordings and has worked with companies such as “National Opera”,,
"Opera Northern Ireland" and “Opera Ireland”, as well as many recordings for RTE and BBC. Ciaran is also Director and conductor of the award winning “Academy Chamber Choir (National Choir of the Year)“, "GLOR Children’s Choir” and “GLOR Youth Choir (National Youth Choir of the Year)" - three established midland’s based training grounds for singers since 2007. 

Ciaran is also a qualifed computer scientist with a Higher Diploma in Computer Science from University College Cork and has an abundance of business experience through his tenure of 8 years with US Multinational company “National Instruments” as a Computer Programmer and a Business Analyst.

After founding the Academy in 2007 and transitioning its ownership to LOETB in 2022, Martina is now Managing the Academy full time for Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board, as well as teaching Piano at the Academy.

Martina has an Honours Bachelor degree in Music and German from N.U.I. Maynooth.
She holds an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance and an Honours Licentiate Diploma in Piano
Teaching from the London Victoria College of Music. Martina is in demand as a teacher and has had many award winning students over her 30+ year career. She was chosen along with some of her advanced students to feature in the Ken Wardrop lm documentary “Making The Grade” which premiered at the Audi Dublin Film Festival at the IFI in Temple Bar.
Martina’s teaching experience spans in varying positions and responsibilities from the classroom to one-to-one
lessons. Prior to settling into full time Piano teaching Martina also spent many years in varying roles in the
corporate world working with US Companies in Financial roles. She worked with UPS and with the US software
company “Iomega” as European call center Manager. Martina was also European Financial Supervisor for Germany,
Austria and Switzerland with corporate giant “Hewlett Packard”.
