Five Academy Students to Receive Coveted High Achiever Awards
The Academy of Music is celebrating unprecedented
success as Five Students are to receive “High
Achiever Awards” from the “Royal Irish Academy of
Music” examining board.
The Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) senior examiners recently revealed the names of the successful students. Jennifer Dillon, Grace Minnock, Lucy Fennelly, Lauren Watson and Cian Brady were chosen out of over 45,000 students in Ireland to receive a "High Achiever Award" for their excellence in musical ability, and for outstanding performance in their recent music examinations.

Lucy Fennelly (Aged 12) from
Rahan, Co.Offaly, will receive her Award for her
Grade 8 Cello exam. She is a student of Agata Matelska.
Jennifer Dillon (Aged 11) from Athlone, Co. Westmeath, will receive her Award for her
Grade 5 Violin exam. She is a student of Jessica Davis.
Cian Brady (Aged 11) from Moate, Co. Westmeath, will receive his Award for his
Grade 5 Piano exam. He is a student of Tatyana Vykhodtseva.
Grace Minnock (Aged 14) from Rahan, Co.Offaly will receive her Award for her
Grade 6 Piano exam. She is a student of Agata Matelska.
Lauren Watson (Aged 18) from Moate, Co. Westmeath will receive her Award for her
Grade 7 singing exam. She is a student of Ciaran Brady.
Grade 8 Cello exam. She is a student of Agata Matelska.

Lauren Watson (Aged 18) from Moate, Co. Westmeath will receive her Award for her
Grade 7 singing exam. She is a student of Ciaran Brady.
All five Students will receive their
awards along-side a distinguished group of guests and high profile musicians in
a special regional Gala Concert that will take place at the Award ceremony in
November 2016.
The Awards Ceremony acknowledges the commitment, of students who
participate in the RIAM’s Local Centre Examination System each year.
The Academy is very proud to celebrate the success of their students and is
looking forward to another successful year in what is now its 10th
year since the Academy opened its doors for music teaching.
